Opposition to Lend-lease Lend Bill BillA ACCORDING A to news reports from Washington Washing Washing- I. I ton senators from Utah are being swamped with communications from their constituents concerning the lend lease bill now before the senate The letters and telegrams run three and four lour to one against the measure reports say This proportion of expressions in opposition to the measure is rather surprising We do donot donot donot not believe belleve it represents by any means a true picture of the opinions of residents of this area on the lend-lease lend program for out all-out aid to Britain We suspect the reason for the heavy opposition mail is that proponents have accepted accepted ac ac- it as certain the measure will be passed and they feel there is therefore no reason for them to express their views jNo No o doubt the bill will be passed However it is important that it be passed as now amended amend amend- ed with the least possible delay and with the greatest possible majority It might be a good thing If It those who favor the lend lease bill in its present form lorm would Immediately communicate with Senator Thomas and Senator Murdock so that these representatives representatives at the capital would receive a true picture picture pic pie ture of the views of the people of 01 the state on this very important measure
