Show CLEAN-UP DRIVE SEEN AS MEANS OFJALYAGING As a means of assisting in the national victory program by rendering fine practical and patriotic pat-riotic service to the Civic government, govern-ment, members of the Bingham junior chamber of commerce planned at their meeting Monday Mon-day to cooperate with Bingham City officials in conducting the annual Clean-up campaign the latter part of April. Francis C. Oswald, chairman of the Jaycee Clean-up committee, commit-tee, reported that the council desired de-sired support of organizations. Councilman Dale Johnston stated that the campaign this year should be highly successful because be-cause of the demand for salvage sal-vage of tin, iron and other scrap metals. President Elliott W. Evans named nam-ed the nominating committee to choose candidates for office the coming year. To report at the next regular meeting on a slate of possible officials are Dale Johnston, chairman; Chris T. Praeeastis and Ken Shulsen. Joel P. Jensen and Warren G. Allsop were named on a committee commit-tee to make plans for selection of the outstanding boy and girl graduate at Bingham high school this year. The two will receive awards to be made at the annual award assembly. Discussion was held in regards to delegates to attend the United States junior chamber of commerce com-merce convention to be held at Dallas, Texas, the week of June 14. Several men plan to represent the Bingham unit. Parker Gray, state vice president, presi-dent, reported on proposed chang- es of the state constitution and by-laws in regards to distribution distribu-tion of votes at state conventions. Bruce Ivie Jr. was a visitor at Monday's meeting. |
