He had been employed at Bingham mine since January 29, 1941, as bank-man bank-man in the powder department. George R. Wells and John Ross took over management of Sturm's cafe May 1. J. E. Long, 39, of Copperfield, died April 30 in a Salt Lake City hospital. Rasmussen was reelected re-elected president of the Central school P.-T.A. May 23 Delmar Arnold Berg and Marguerite Mar-guerite Athena Craig were married mar-ried at the home of the bridegroom's bride-groom's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Aimer A. Berg, on May 18. Sixty-one seniors graduated from Bingham high school at exercises May 21. An agreement was signed by the city council June 25 granting grant-ing the Kennecott Copper company com-pany corporation easement for the construction of a railroad in the mouth of Dry Fork canyon to permit erection, maintenance and operation of a railroad. $1000 was received by the city for the property and $125 for easement for the railroad. Funeral services for William App, 88, were held June 23 under un-der direction of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. July 4 Preliminary hearing for Alex Hurtado, 35, on a first degree Murder charge was set for July 16. Hurtado was accused of the shooting of Andy Gallegos June 30 at the Senate Rooms. Old pieces of aluminum taken to the Bingham City hall July 11 and 12 were worth tickets to the Princess theatre July 13 and 14. July 11 Irma Peterson and Omen Ray Argyle were married July 7 by Bishop David C. Lyon.
