Jordan, finding it difficult to break through Granite's Gran-ite's guard, sent most of its shots from long range, with few. con-, necting. Davis was favored to win and led in the first two quarters,, 7-5, 11-10. From there on Bingham pulled ahead and kept the lead. The Miners played a nice stalling game the last five minutes. On three occasions Bingham chose to take the ball out of bounds rather than' a foul pitch. Glen Sheen was high with 9 counters and Jack Thurmond garnered seven points. The Miners displayed some fine team work. Coach Warren G. Allsop substituted but once, George Furgis for Bob Nichols, returning Nichols to the lineup when Don Poulsen went out on fouls. The other player seeing action was Jack Gleason. |
