Show JAYCEES PLAN GALENA DANCE FORJEPT. 25 Members of the Bingham Canyon Can-yon junior chamber of commerce made plans for the annual Galena Ga-lena dance to be held at the Civic Center Saturday evenin". Sept. 25, at their regular semi-monthly meeting held Monday evening. Robert Jimas, general chairman, chair-man, reported that instead of selecting se-lecting a queen, this year tribute will be paid to three Bingham ladies: The mother having the most sons in the armed forces, the lady residing in Bingham Canyon district the greatest number of years, and the woman who has contributed most to community war service. Selection of these ladies will be made prior to the dance and they will be notified to be present at the affair. af-fair. Mr. Jimas stated that this year's decorations will be more elaborate elab-orate than in past years. It is planned to decorate the hall with a theme appropriate for the oc-1 oc-1 casion. Admission ot the dance will be $1.00 per couple, extra lady 25 cents. Games, refreshments and awarding tributes to the three ladies will be added attractions at the fifth annual Galena dance. Tickets went on sale Tuesday and may be purchased from any junior jun-ior chamber of commerce member. mem-ber. Reports on the 1943 War Conference Con-ference held in Salt Lake City, Sept 4, 5 and 6 were made by the following: Ken Shulsen, Joel P. Jensen, Howard Buchman, Robert Jimas, Leland G. Burress, Elmo A- Nelson, Nel-son, Harold Chesler and Chris T. Praggastis. Following the regular meeting members of the board of directors direc-tors met and approved the following fol-lowing for membership in the Jaycees: R. W. Hervilla, Spencer Jacques, Stanley Long, Seth Woodruff, Andrew Jimas, William Wil-liam Leonard, Charles Bates, Gam Carpentier and Joseph Jones. Mr. Jacques, Mr. Woodruff, Wood-ruff, Mr. Carpentier, Mr. Long and Mr. Jimas were guests at Monday's meeting. |
