Robert Burke, chairman of the Democratic party in Copperfield, wishes to announce that Copper-fiel- d went overwhelmingly Dem-ocratic in the primary election. Mrs. J. A. Thomas and Mrs. John Anderson spent the day last Saturday in Salt Lake City. In the evening they were joined by Mr. Thomas and Mr. Ander-son and the four enjoyed din-ner and a show. Garland Bray and Rex Leath-erwood left Monday to go to Bountiful and pick cherries. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey llalver-so- n wore dinner guests last Fri-day of Mr. and Mrs. George Panos. Mrs. Alvin Cole and Margo Ann were Midvale visitors Wed-nesday. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Hickman and son, Val, returned home last Sunday after spending a two weeks vacation in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Allred and Mrv and Mrs. Alvin Cole vis-ited in West Jordan last Friday at the homes of Mr. and Mrs. Marsel Chiea and Mrs. Grant Jones. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Turpin and family were Provo visitors Wed-nesday at the home of relatives. A candy pull was enjoyed Tuesday evening at the home of Mrs. May Allred. Her guests in-cluded Mrs. Phyllis Turpin, Mrs. Margaret Cole, Mrs. Fern Hick-man and Mrs. Beth Halverson. Mrs. Max Scroggin and small son spent several days this week with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Scroggin, Mrs. Lester Jackson and small son retuvned to their home in Hollywood July 6. Mrs. Jackson has been visiting at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Gardikis, the past two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Orrin Colby and son, Ted, with a group of friends Osoro in Bingham. Mr. Osoro left Wednesday to go back into the service. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Saltas of Salt Lake City visited with Mr. and Mrs. John Manos and Mr. and Mrs. Mike Katis last Satur-day and Sunday. Mrs. Marvin Cowdell is visit-ing foi a week with her sister, Mrs. Perry Sessions, in Syracuse. The Cowdell children are visit-ing their grandmother, Mrs, Alma Wright, at Sandy. Mrs. Helen Colin, Gregoria, Tom and Mike Korojogos, all of Salt Lake City, are spending this week with Mr. and Mrs. Mike Bapia. The new "500" club was en-tertained by Mrs. John Panta-lon- e at the home of Mrs. Leonard Johnson July 6. Mrs. Lucille Byrne's birthday was celebrated. She received gitts and a birthday cake centered the table. Mrs. Alice Burke and Mrs. Vig Malkos were invited guests. Mrs. Aline Tyson won first prize and Mrs. Byrne house prize. Audrey Groves spent last Fri-day with Mrs. Ted Scroggin. Mrs, Ruth Burke of Bingham, with her two sons, is spending a few days with Mrs, Greg Tyson. Mrs. Mike Bapis entertained at dinner Tuesday evening. Mi's. Helen Colin of Salt Lake City, Mrs. George Klonizos, son, John, Pete Aleseris, IV to Sinras and Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bapis and family. T. Cpl. Ralph Colledge of Camp Stuart has been at visiting the Arthur Caldwell home the past ten days. Don Colledge A S of Farragut, Idaho, also visited with his brother at the Caldwell home for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. W. L. Leather-woo-d and small grandson, Billy Leatherwood, spent July 5 in Liberty park. George Martineau is conduct-ing a school Monday, Wednes-day and Friday for the men from Puerto Rico who wish to learn to speak English. This school is held at the Copperfield school house. Mr. and Mrs. Tommie Ander-son and children were visitors last week with Mr. and Mrs. La-M- ar Bray. Mrs. Thomas Wilson of Cop-perto- n was a visitor Wednesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Fe-lix McDonald. Mrs. Blaine Milner and Mrs. Felix McDonald were visitors Saturday in Midvale with Mrs. Joe Rhodda and Mrs. D. Adams. Mrs. Carlylc Carter of Lark visited Mrs. Ronnie Tervort Wed- - enjoyed a picnic up the canyon from Telegraph last Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Sorenson and Mr. and Mrs. Pete Nelson and Dorothy Harris were their guests. Chris Sotiriou left last Monday evening for Oakland, Calif., to visit friends.
