E MacPHERSON ERSON Snow tonight the forecast reads reads- And lo the snow comes down 1 And covers all aU the hills and dales dalesS dalesi i S And sidewalks in the town Now I could stand for hill and dabAll dab dalo All covered up with white But when it comes to snowy walks walks- I I wish wish to say Good night Its It's bad enough th these sc winter days To rise before the sun And eat a stack of hurried cakes And start upon the run To where I earn my dally daily crust But when the sky's I have to go and clean the walks Before I go to work A poet bird you ou may recall Immortalized the snow snowS snow snow- S Sing Sang ng how beauteous blossom flakes A flitting downward blow Where did the poet get that junk For I cry Hold Enough I We modern have to go goI And shovel hovel off th the stuff I |
