BooolnUeae aettlnar Forth the Clalana or the Farmer AaaeclaUosw Springfield, HI., Nov. 20 The Farmers' Mutual Benefit Association Associa-tion today agreed to resolutions demanding de-manding a revision of the patent laws, abolition of the national bank system: that tbe circulating medium be confined to gold, silver and copper cop-per coins and United States Treasury Treas-ury notes; favoring the loaning of money by tbe national government to citizens, in sums not exceeding $1000 to any person and properly secured, at interest not exceeding four per cent per annum; favoring the Issue and sale at par of United States bonds of $10, $20, $30 and $100, bearing two per cent interest and redeemable at the option of the holders and the government The resolutions further demand regulations of corporations by law; favor the election of President Vice-President and United States Senators by a popular vote; oppose tbe civil service laws, and tenure In office of United Judges not to exceed ex-ceed nine years; the election ol postmasters and warehouse commissioners commis-sioners by popular vote is also urged; pensions to soldiers and Bailors are approved and tbe revision of the Government officials' salaries is commended, as Is also a redaction of taxation on necessities and conveniences con-veniences and a regulation of immigration im-migration and the manufacture of adulterated foods. The resolutions conclude by making mak-ing provisions for the establishment of a National organization to attend tbe coming sessions of the legislature legisla-ture throughout the country In the Interest of the farmers' organizations and calling upon the rspresenta lives of tbe association to keep aloof from both the old parties. |
