Show MOTORISTS ASKED TO JOIN CAR POOLS Motorist's holding supplemental "B" and "C" cards may find themselves with "A" gasoline rations ra-tions unless they pay closer attention at-tention to the share-a-ride plan, Francis J. Quinn, chairman of the Bingham Canyon war price and rationing board announced today. "If 'B' and 'C car drivers expect ex-pect to secure supplemental gasoline gaso-line rations, they must prove to the board that they have joined a car pool, or that they have exceptional reasons for not being able to join a pool," the member said. "The National Safety council coun-cil estimates that 7,000 cars a day are landing on the junk pile. Car sharing is the only answer. When five men pool their rides, through car sharing, four of the cars can be left at home and the life of each car extended five-told. Besides Be-sides four tanksful of gasoline and 16 tires are conserved." |
