Show UTAH STATE FAIR SET FOR SEPT. 3-9 A score of thrilling acts have been secured for the entertainment entertain-ment of guests at the forthcoming forthcom-ing Utah State Fair, September 3 to 9 This is the assurance of Sheldon R. Brewster, secretary-manager, secretary-manager, who has just announced announc-ed the booking ol Siegfried the Great, sensational skier, to round out the program of fast moving events for the daily grandstand revue. Siegfried the Great does a daredevil dare-devil ride down a one-foot wide wooden runway that is 55 feet high at the start. He clears a gap 30 feet wide in the course of his dizzy 150 foot descent. At the evening show he dives through flaming pyrotechnics. A noye runway, covered with a special kind of grease, makes this skiing event possible. Another event that will receive the wide acclaim of all who visited vis-ited the fair last year will be a return engagement with Marian Rankin and her "lovelies This is a group of beautiful Ho lywood girls popular from Broadway to the Pacific coast, who present about a dozen dance and song numbers- some of sheer grace and beauty, others on the eccentric eccen-tric side. Then there is Jumbo the elephant, ele-phant, famed on stage and screen. Trouped with the great pachyderm pachy-derm are a camel, a pony and Two dogs. Together, they are said to do some amazing circus feats. The Kitchen unicycle girls is another an-other great feature, as is the act of Irene McAfee and her trained French poodles. Each evening show will be climaxed by a spectacular spec-tacular fireworks, presented by he Thearle-Duff.eld Fireworks company. Hal Gould a famed "eScee" with a beautiful .speak-inT .speak-inT and singing voice, will put hi many acts through a breathtaking breath-taking pace. The great grandstand revue will be free, afternoon and evening even-ing to all visitors at the fair. A small gate fee entitles guests , to Soy all exhibits and entertainment entertain-ment on the fair grounds. |
