Hammond, of West Forty-fifth street this morning, and said that she desired to consult with him. Bhe gave ber name as Carolina Caro-lina Taylor, aged 6 years, and said that she had arrived irom Seattle a few days ago. She toIJ the doctor that she was a victim of hypnotism and that a largo number of people were following ber and abusing her in a horrible manner, not in person, but through the strange peer by which they controlled her. She said these people all lived In Seattle and that she fled from there,fearing that they would finally take herlife. She said that her father bad been under a similar spell and was finally final-ly killed by tho people who had power over hlra. Dr. Hammond at once came to the conclusion that the unfortunate woman was of unsound mind. Justice TalnUr committed her to the care of the Charity Commissioners Com-missioners for examination into her mental condition. |
