The workman who brought the advertisement which tbe Journal Jour-nal declined to publish (which was a notice to all workmen cot to employ themselves to the ontrac-tors ontrac-tors named), stated that the employes had not been paid anything for about seven week. Asked as to whether the contractors had received re-ceived nny money from the college trustee, ho stated that lie understood under-stood ta, but that lb bad been employed em-ployed In other directions than paying pay-ing the workmen. He stated lhat the men wercunableln consequence of getting no money to pay their board bills. It will be unfortunate If the work on the boarding house It long delayed delay-ed at this season of the J ear, as It is not at all unlikely that severe weather will set in at any time so as to prevent the completion or the structure this year.
