Show Local Poullryman In Better Meat Chicken Contest David Sumsion, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sumsion is among seventeen sev-enteen young poultry raisers of Utah county who will enter pens in the pedigreed chickens 1949-50 Chicken-of-Tomorrow Contest, it was announced this week by State Chairman W. J. Jenkins, extension exten-sion poultryman. Time and place of the Utah county judging, slated for the week of July 10, will be announced by Joel Barlow, county contest director. di-rector. While there are 17 young farmers far-mers entering the junior division of the contest, there is only one, A. E. Baird of Payson entering the senior division. State finals of the contest which offers $10,000 in prizes, .posted by A. P. Food Stores, sponsors of the program to develop better meat-type birds, will be held in Salt Lake City, July 21. County winners will compete in the state finals. |
