Show o - CJ Springville Red Devils Travel To Payson Friday For Crucial Hoop Battle; Both Teams Need Win Lions Civen Edge Over Devils With Home Court Advantage; Wilson Team Hands Miners Defeat in Friday Game Basketball rivalry will soar to a new high this Friday night when the Springville Red Devils travel tn Pavson to meet the Lions in a game that means ((rything to both teams. The--game just of itself, projected out of the rich, traditional pawt, would be a must for both players and funs, but Friday's contest has added spice to that, Springville ha lost one game and Payson has lost one game. Both clubs need the win to hope to keep in the running run-ning for the important title now shared by Spanish Fork and Juab. Tradition also comes up with its "must." at least as far as the Red Devils are concerned. Coach Taiil Wilson's five will be the underdog in Friday's contest on the basis of playing on the ' Lion's floor and the fine showing the I'ayson team has made in preseason pre-season play. However, a win for the Springville team would not be counted as an upset either. Both teams will be geared in high for a top performance, and a torrid and thrilling battle is in the offing. Smith led his teammates with 14 counters. Glen Sanford maintained his high scoring scor-ing record with 13 pointers. Fry and Thorpe played a nice defensive game. Chatwin was high for the Tintic team with 9 counters. Springville pulled out from a first quarter tie of 10 each to take a five point lead at halftime and increase in-crease it throughout the remainder remain-der of the game.
