Show ilinniber of Commerce To Install Officers it Slemliersliip Banquet V Annual Program Scheduled At 7:30 P. M., Next Wednesday, Jan. 26, At Memorial Hall; Geneva Steel Representative To Be Speaker Walter A. Caine, representing Geneva Steel, will address the Springville Chamber of 'Commerce at the annual membership banquet and program Wednesday evening, January 26, members of the board of directors announced today. He will speak on "My Impressions Im-pressions After Five Years of Living Liv-ing and Making Steel in Utah County." The entertainment, under direction direc-tion of Harrison Conover, retiring president, will begin at 7:30 p. m., at Memorial hall, and arrangements arrange-ments are being made to accommodate accom-modate more than 200 Chamber of Commerce members and their guests, including wives and partners. part-ners. In addition to . the guest speaker, there will be music and other numbers. During the evening the gavel will be taken over by C. Edwin Johnson, who was elected president presi-dent of the chamber the latter part of December. Other oficers to be installed include: George B. Bonspur, vice-president; J. A. Milter, Milt-er, executive secretary; J. ' Lewis Bird, Harold Christensen. Leo Crandall and Harold Whiting, members of the board of directors. Mr. Conover, retiring president, automatically becomes a director. Holdover directors include: A. L. Thorpe, Wm. G. Ruff, H. T. Reynolds, Rey-nolds, A. Y. Wheeler and Charles Franks. Shortly after installation of the new officers, committee chairmen will be named and the organization will launch activities for another successful year, the tenth since its organization in March 1939. |
