Show Kolob Stake Conference Saturday and Sunday 2 . Elder IJruce It. McConkie, Wm. Lawrence To Represent General Authorities; M. I. A. Program To Conclude Sessions Kolob stake quarterly conference is announced for Saturday evening and Sunday in the Fourth ward chapel, under direction of Stake President Ernest A. j Strong. Representing the general auth- j orilies of the church will be Bruce ; R. McConkie, one of the presidents : of the First Council of Seventies, and Wm. Lawrence of the church welfare. A meeting for welfare workers will be held at 6:30 p. m. on Saturday, Sat-urday, followed by a Priesthood leadership meeting at 8 p. m. General sessions of the conference confer-ence are scheduled for 10 a. m. and 2 p. m. on Sunday. The concluding meeting of the conference is under direction of the M. I. A. and will feature a program at 7:30 p. m., on the theme, "For My Soul Delighteth in the Songs of the Heart, Yea the Song of the Righteous is a Prayer Unto Me." The program will evolve around well loved hymns. Jessie Dalton will give the scriptural reading; Wendell Nielson, the invocation; Grant Clyde will be the reader, and well known and loved hymns will be rendered during the evening by a mixed quartet; the Junior Girls' chorus, directed by J. Golden Hansen; Han-sen; Mrs. Ellen Anderson, Freeman Free-man Bird and Glen Holley, and Mr. Toronto of Spanish Fork. Congregational singing will be led by LaRell Johnson. The closing prayer will be given by Clifford I Crandall. |
