Show Wedding Vows Exchanged At Mapleton Ceremony Announcement is made this week of the marriage of Orwin Bird of Tracy, Calif., son of Mrs. Myrtle Bird of Mapleton, and Mrs. Doris Johnson of Salt Lake City, RELATIVES MEET AT SANFORD HOME Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanford entertained en-tertained relatives at their home Sunday at a dinner and lawn social, so-cial, with Mrs. A. V. Sanford, who recently returned home, as a special guest. She has spent tne last eight months visiting in California Cali-fornia and Washington. Thirty-six relatives wefe in attendance, at-tendance, from this city, Spanish Fork, and Mrs. Harry B. Wood and Mrs. Leone W. McGrane and son of Idaho Falls. took place at the home of the groom's mother, Aug. 3. Bishop Oscar Whiting of the Mapleton ward performed the ceremony. The bride is the former Doris Wilde of this city. Immediately following the marriage ceremony, an informal reception was tendered the couple with an impromptl program. Don Smith, brother-in-law of the bride, yitertaii;d with several vocal and instumental selections during the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Bird of Salt Lake City greeted the guests. Elaine B. Parcell, sister of the groom, was in charge of the gifts. Refreshments were served at small tables on the lawn to approximately approximate-ly sixty relatives and friends. The bride was attired in a suit for the occasion and immediately following their party, left on a week's honeymoon in Yellowstone Park. The newlyweds will make their home in Salt Lake City. |
