UNIEVRSITY WILL GIVE SCHOLARSHIP The Johns Hopkins Universiy announces a graduate Fellowship in the Hopkins School of Engineering Engineer-ing in the amount of nineteen hundred hun-dred dollars. The Fellowship will be awarded for the first time in September, 1947. This Fellowship is open to graduate grad-uate students in Engineering and may be held for two consecutive years, during which the recipient will devote himself to study and research dealing with developments develop-ments in the properties and applications appli-cations of nickel, copper, platinum, or alloys containing any of . these metals. Specific subjects for investigation inves-tigation include the production, .heat treatment, purification, metallurgy, met-allurgy, electroplating, and recovery recov-ery of these metals, as well as investigations in-vestigations into their mechanical and electrical properties, corrosion resistance, catalytic properties and heat transfer coefficients are all basis for research problems in carrying car-rying out the terms of this Fellowship. Fellow-ship. While working on his chosen research re-search problems the recipient can be completing courses for an advanced ad-vanced degree. It is anticipated that this Fellowship will be most applicable to the work of students in the fields of Mechanical, Chemical, Chemi-cal, or Electrical Engineering. The International Nickel Company Com-pany has established the scholarship scholar-ship and is donating to the University Uni-versity Library literature dealing with the many metals and alloys it produces.
