Last year (1946) there' were sixteen cases and three deaths while in 1945 there were seventeen cases and no deaths. Diphtheria immunization prevents pre-vents the development of the in- . fection in the great majority of cases and it is a relatively simple and almost painless procedure. Infants should be immunized at six months of age or as soon afterwards after-wards as possible and then re-immunized re-immunized (or given a booster injection in-jection ) at or about the pre-school age. This procedure will protect infants and older children against diphtheria during the years when the incidence of the disease is the highest. The first case of Rocky Moun- REPORT GIVEN ON STATE . .
