Ottesen, has accepted a call to the British LDS Mission and will leave for the mission home in Salt Lake City September 12, sailing for the mission headquarters head-quarters the latter part of the month. In his honor, a farewell testimonial testi-monial will be conducted in the Second-Eighth ward chapel, Sunday Sun-day evening September 4 at 6 p.m., to which all friends and members of the ward are invited. He is leaving from the Eighth ward. The program for the evening will be presented as follows : Opening Open-ing sang, "O Ye Mountains High," followed by prayer by Jim Bett-ridge Bett-ridge and the Sacrament song. Paul K. Walker, high school principal, will be the speaker. Karen Ka-ren Ottesen, sister of the missionary, mission-ary, will give a piano solo and remarks re-marks will be given by Edward Boyer. Mrs. Mary Boyer will render ren-der an organ solo and short talks will be given by Dr. and Mrs. Ottesen, Otte-sen, with response by Sterling. The closing song will be, "God Be With You, Till We Meet Again." The closing prayer will be by Jim Ottesen, ' brother ff Sterling. The departing missionary is a graduate of the Springville high school and Seminary. He attained the crank of Eagle Scout in Scouting Scout-ing and has been active in church affairs. He attended the University Univer-sity of Utah last year and was planning to enroll as a sophomore when he received his call. |
