Show PLANS PROGRESS ' FOR FINE JULY 4 PROGRAM Rules Announced For Baby Show; Parade To Be Entertaining Event Every effort is being made by the Junior Chamber of Commerce, the Jaycee Wives and the Lions club to provide a fine program of entertainment on the Fourth, of July, officers announced Wednesday. Wednes-day. The program in detail, stating stat-ing time of events together with the place and other details, will be announced in next week's Herald. Her-ald. In the meantime, members of the sponsoring organizations are seeking cooperation of townspeople townspeo-ple and groups to assist with the entertaining events. The ' Miniature parade is being planned as a major attraction. It is to be held in the forenoon and is expected to attract the interest of old and young. Business houses, clubs, schools, Primary organizations, organiza-tions, 4-H groups and individuals, are asked to enter floats. Invitations are also issued to those with pets, doll carriages or any other item of interest, to join. Valuable prizes are being offered for the most attractive float. Another major feature of the day's program is the Baby Show, to be conducted at the city park at 4 p. m. Entry blanks are being printed, and will be available at the doctors' doc-tors' offices and various other places of business, soon. Babies six months to three years may be entered and during the show, the prince and princess of the show will be crowned. All babies must appear in bathing bath-ing suits or sun suits and be accompanied" ac-companied" by their parents, or near relatives. Other events of the day will include in-clude entertainent for children at the park, a band concert, and concessions, con-cessions, and in the evening a horse show at the recreation park, the latter event being sponsored by the Lions. |
