Today, Mrs. Alma Fullmer offers her recipe for this dish which according ac-cording to members of her family and friends, just can't be beaten. Try them by the following recipe on your next camping out trip. About 1 pound of dry beans, soaked overnight. Boil until tender and drain. Add 1 cup tomato juice 1 cup catsup 2 or 3 tablespoons dark karo syrup, or brown sugar. Salt and pepper to taste teaspoonful dry mustard Mix with beans. Place 3 or 4 slices of bacon over top and bake in oven one to one and a halt hours. , |
