Mrs. Lena Maycock has returned to her home following several weeks spent visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Earl (Esther Maycock) and family at Washington, D. C. Mrs. Douglas Brown is spending a few days with relatives and friends here. She met Douglas here, he having come from Fort Lewis, Wash., and she returning from California. Mr. and Mrs. Everett Billings and daughter, Hannah Marie, have returned from a delightful vacation vaca-tion trip to Vernal, where they visited with relatives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Thorpe and family have been visiting with Russell's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Thorpe, and other relatives in Springville and Provo. They are now livng at Long Beach, Calif. Mrs. Flora Maiben and son, Dean, are spending a two-week vacation va-cation in Los Angeles, Calif., where Mr. Maiben is employed. They also planned to spend some time at Las Vegas, Nev. m Mrs. Peter Nielson left the past week to visit her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Duncan (Bernice Nielson) at Bis-bee, Bis-bee, Ariz., and to see her new granddaughter, born to Mr. and Mrs. Duncan August 27. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Raleigh of Logan spent Labor day with relatives rela-tives and friends in Springville. Keith "Bud" Kennedy of Fort Lewis, Wash., has spent the past few days here. He came because of the death of his father, G. D. Kennedy. ' . Mr. and Mrs. John Workman and family of Salt Lake City, were Sunday Sun-day visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Miller. Among friends and relatives who were here for the wedding reception recep-tion of Priscilla Gudmundson and Sargent L. Rice, Saturday, were Merle Fletcher, LeJeune Whitney, Edna Bartholomew, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Crandall, of Salt Lake City, Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Gudmundson of Price, Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Rice and family of Brigham City, and Winnifred Johnson of Price.' Mr. and Mrs. Sargent L. Rice (Priscilla Gudmundson) who were married Friday, left by plane early in the week to make their home in California. George Weight spent several days of the past week in Salt Lake City, the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Don Stevens. Ronda Jenkins, with the armed forces at Fort Douglas, visited Sunday with relatives and friends here. m V m Mrs. Norma G. Mock has gone to San Diego, Calif., to visit her husband, who is in the navy stationed sta-tioned at San Diego. Darlene Weight, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Weight, has returned re-turned to her home following six weeks spent visiting with relatives and friends at Marysville and Oakland, Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Orman Weight of Salt Lake City, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Weight over Sunday and Labor day. Don Miler of Pocatello, Ida., has spent several days with his parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Miller, t and other relatives before returning return-ing to enroll in dental school there. Mr. and Mrs. Leon Bird and Mr. and Mrs. Harrison Conover spent the week-end at Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Boyer were at Beaver Creek over the week-end and Labor day. Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Bird and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Erdmann of Mid-vale Mid-vale were in Springville Tuesday to attend funeral services for G. D. Kennedy and also visited relatives rela-tives here. Mrs. Tess C. Tyler and son, Wendell, have gone to Hurricane, where Mrs. Tyler is instructor in the senior speech and junior and senior physical education departments depart-ments of the high school. Mrs. Edmund Cragun and children, child-ren, Dorlynn and Nyla Mae, spent Labor day in Orem, visiting witlj relatives and friends. |
