Show CHURCH NOTICES Second Ward .... M. I. A. Opening . . . The opening of the Second ward M. I. A. will be conducted Tuesday Tues-day in the ward chapel beginning at 7:30 p. m., and a special program pro-gram is being planned for' the occasion. oc-casion. All members of the ward are urged to attend. Third Ward . . . Sunday Evening Services ... An exceptionally fine program is being planned by the Third ward stake missionaries for Sunday evening eve-ning in the ward chapel, at 8 p. m., when the Payson Male Chorus will entertain with a musical program. All members of the ward are requested re-quested to attend and an invitation invita-tion is extended to others interested. inter-ested. Fifth Ward . . . The Sacrament services will be under direction of the ward teachers teach-ers with Leo Cutler in charge of the program beginning at 6 p. m. Victor Frandsen and William Weie-ht will be the speakers and they will elaborate on the ward teachers' topic for the months of September and October. A ward teachers' quartet consisting con-sisting of Hal Clyde, Glenn Allan, S. Virl Jones aria Kay Weight, will render special music, and Richard Conover and others are scheduled to give numbers on the program. Bishop J. Y. Bearnson also announces an-nounces the reorganization of the Fifth ward Relief Society with Mrs. Alice Davis sustained president; presi-dent; Mrs. Barbara Francis and Mrs. Ellen Erdmann, counselors; Mrs. Helen Robbins, secretary. The new officers succeed Mrs. Zina Condie Mrs. Lela Sumsion, Mrs. Alice Davis and Mrs. Blanche Ostlund. Ost-lund. Sixth Ward . . . The Sunday evening services, beginning at 7:45 p. m., will be under direction of the stake missionaries mis-sionaries with Mrs. Maggie Wood in charge. Ted Miller, son of Mr. and Mrs. Chris Miller, who has just returned re-turned from the eastern states mission, will be the principal speaker and a good musical program pro-gram is also being provided. The Relief Society meetings will be held on Wednesday this year, beginning at 2 p. m., as will the Primary each Wednesday at four o'clock p. m., and the M. I. A. meetings also on Wednesdays at 7:30 p. m. |
