Show JAYCEES BACK MOVE FOR POLIO HOSPITAL President Grant Thorn of the State Junior Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, announces that the Utah Jaycees, in cooperation with the Lions clubs of the state, have begun be-gun an extensive state-wide campaign cam-paign to secure erection of a polio hospital in Salt Lake City. Byron J. Brown of Salt Lake City, vice-chairman of the Public Health committee, has been appointed ap-pointed to represent the Jaycees in promotion of the hospital project. pro-ject. Mr. Thorn states that the Lions club of the state have raised considerable con-siderable funds for the building, but it is the understanding that the state already has funds that can be used for this purpose if the governor so directs. Therefore, the Jaycees have petitions peti-tions which they are distributing around Springville in an effort to get every citizen to sign who is aware of the great need of more adequate facilities in this state for hospitalization of victims of the dreaded poliomelitis. |
