Fire Chief Roy Despain was uncertain un-certain Wednesday afternoon as to whether wheat stored in the building had been seriously damaged dam-aged by the heat and water. Because of lack of oxygen in the tlfihtly closed building, the heat was very intense and a great deal of smoke was in evidence, but the building did not burst into flame. Again it is important to caution cau-tion everyone about burning grass and weeds wherever there might oe a fire hazard, especially in hot weather. |
