Show SCOUTS CONDUCT REGULAR AND SPECIAL MEETS Several Scout executives were in attendance at the regular meeting meet-ing of Scouters of Kolob district last Wednesday evening, at the Seminary building. M. W. Bird was in charge. Discussing means by which interest in-terest in advancement in Scout work might be stimulated, B. O. Wight, district chairman, Rulon Dolman, Scout executive, and Dr. Jones, all of Provo, addressed the group. They also spoke on the importance of cooperation of all organizations in Scout work. It was also announced that a training school was being planned for Scouters, the time and place to be announced later. On Friday evering, i number of local Scouters attended the state meeting in Provo, featured by a banquet and program, at which Earl J. Glade, ayor of Salt Lake City, was the speaker. He emphasized empha-sized the; importance of teaching Scouts to appreciate thrii every opportunity. Approximately fifty-five fifty-five Scouters attended from Springville. At the regional meet in Salt Lake City on Saturday, J. F. Win-gate Win-gate represented the Kolob district, dis-trict, a fine program featuring Scout activities, together with a banquet were highlights. |
