Show Screen Sliorts With essential box-office returns re-turns as a criterion, producers are fast turning to musicals. Good ones, such as "Cover Girl," and "Two Girls and a Sailor," have been clean-ups everywhere they've shown and everybody's anxious to cash in, too. A certain studio official saw a very pretty girl dining with an army officer and, thinking she would be "just right" for the movies mov-ies sent an aide over to her table to ask her identity. He came back with the news "Shirley Temple." Michael O'Shea looks so much like Spencer Tracy that he has just about decided to refuse to sign any more autographs for fans because they practically always al-ways express disappointment, expecting ex-pecting Tracy's autograph instead of his. Under a probable exchange deal, Humphrey Bogart will go to Twentieth Century-Fox for the role of Major Joppolo in "A Bell for Adano" and Betty Grable will portray the role of the late Marilyn Mari-lyn Miller in "Silver Lining" at Warnera. k John Russell, a former Marine Mar-ine Corps Lieutenant, who has received re-ceived a medical discharge because be-cause of wounds received has been signed to a term-acting contract by- Twentieth Century-Fox. His first role will be in "A Bell for Adano." A: It has been a long time since we've seen Zasu Pitts on the screen. However, word comes that she has been signed by Samuel Bronston for the screen version of "Then Little Indians."
