Show VISITORS Here and There DeVere and Brent Weight, who have been attending school at the U. S. A. C. at Logan, are spending the holidays here. Robert Weight has returned to Pasadena California, where he will resume his teaching at Pasadena Pasa-dena Tech. college after spending the holidays with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Weight and family fam-ily here. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Bishop and Mr. Bishop's mother, Mrs. Birdie Bishop of Salt Lake City, spent Christmas day with Mr. and Mrs. Tom Carter and family. G. D. Kennedy left Tuesday to take over the drug store at Mt. Pleasant, beginning the first of the year. First Sargeant B. F. Krause and Mrs. Krause from Fort Sam Houston, Hous-ton, Texas, are spending the holidays holi-days visiting with Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Harrison and other relatives rela-tives and friends. Mr. and Mrs. Willis Harmer had as their guests on Christmas, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Harmer, who were visiting here from Los Angeles, An-geles, Calif. ' Mr. and Mrs. Sylvester Allen have gone to Los Angeles, Calif., to spend the holidays, and they planned to attend the Rose carnival. car-nival. Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Crandall spent the holidays in Ogden, with their daughter, Mrs. C. H. Thors-tensen, Thors-tensen, and other relatives. - - Mrs. Henrietta Harmer left during dur-ing the week-end for Los Angeles, Calif., for several weeks visit. She accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Glen Harmer on their return. Mr. and Mrs. Orval Singleton, Miss Teddy Thorpe, Miss Mary Boyer Miss June Boyer, and Miss Fern Ostler, left Monday night for California. They planned to attend the annual Rose Bowl football foot-ball classic and the Tournament of Roses at Pasadena. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph B. Weight accompanied their son, Newell, and family on their return, to Snowflake, Ariz., where they will visit indefinitely. Erie Boorman, Jr.' has returned return-ed to Boulder, Colo., after visiting visit-ing during the holidays at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. V. Boorman. Erie is a senior student at the University of Colorado. Colo-rado. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Finley, Mr. Harrison, Mrs. D. B. Welch, Mrs. J. F. Wingate and Mrs. E. V. Boorman attended funeral services ser-vices for Alexander Poulsen at Mt. Pleasant Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Strong, Mrs. T. E. Child of Springville, Mrs. Bertha Robertson, and Mrs. Jessie Jes-sie Nybo of Spanish Fork, were in. Paul, Idaho, last Thursday and Friday to attend funeral services for their brother-in-law, Joseph King. Milton Mende and Francis Rei-ter Rei-ter of Los Angeles, Calif., spent the holidays as guests of Miss June Boyer in Springville. Leonard Stone of Salt Lake City spent the holidays with his mother mo-ther and other relatives and friends at Mapleton. Mrs. Thelma Whitty of Martinez, Mar-tinez, Calif. Wallace Noakes of Walker Mines, Calif., and Ralph Noakes of Oakland, Calif., arrived arriv-ed in Springville early this week because of the death of their mother, mo-ther, Mrs. Catherine B. Noakes. Cleo Pierce of Ogden is spending spend-ing the holidays with her father, Andrew Pierce and other relatives rela-tives and friends in Springville. Wm. R. Hill and family were visitors Friday at the home of J. H. Manwaring. SHIRLEY 1UARCHBANKS PARTY HOSTESS A gay holiday party was given by Shirley Marchbanks for a number num-ber of friends on Tuesday night, with New Year decorations and games featuring the affair, together toge-ther with a delicious luncheon. Guests included Helen. Chris-tensen, Chris-tensen, Wilna Brown, Louise Clyde, Cecelia Maycock, Luella Huntington, Lucille Oakley, Mar-jorie Mar-jorie Simkins and the hostess.
