Show CHURCH NOTICES 'Fourth and Sixth Wards Sunday Services . . . Fast meeting in the Sixth ward will be held at 12:15 p. m. A conjoint meeting of the Sixth and Fourth wards is scheduled for Sunday evening, beginning at 7:45 p. m., in the Fourth ward chapel in the form of a patriotic program. Paul K. Walker is scheduled as the speaker and he will discuss a patriotic theme. Also, Mrs. Erma Morgan will give a patriotic reading; Melba Child, a piano selection, and Mrs. Lela Packard, a vocal number. An invitation is extended to all members of the two wards and others to attend. LeRoy Whitehead, principal of the Spanish Fork seminary, will speak at a meeting of the Sixth ward Book of Mormon club to be held at the home of Carol Cher-rington, Cher-rington, Monday evening, July 3, beginning at 8 p. m. All members of the club and others interested are invited to attend. Fifth Ward ... Sunday Evening Services . . . Dr. LeRoy Cowles, president of the University of Utah, will be the speaker at the Sunuday evening eve-ning services in the Fifth ward, beginning at 6 o'clock, announuces Bishop J. Y. Bearnson. It .is Dr. Cowles first appearance appear-ance as a speaker in Springville and his address will be one well worth hearing. He is a speaker of prominence well known throughout through-out the state. . The meeting is under direction of the ward bishopric and in connection con-nection with the talk, a program is being arranged. All members of the ward and others are invited to be present. Church Notice . . . The Laurance club of Spanish Fork, under direction of F. J. Faux, will present a musical program pro-gram in the Fifth ward Sunday evening, July 9, beginning at 6 p. m., under direction of the stake missionaries of the Fifth ward. Ward members are asked to make plans now to attend the program. Second Ward . . . Sunday Evening Services . . . Ray Whiting of Mapleton, who recently returned from a mission, will be the speaker at the Sunday evening meeting in the Second ward, beginning at 7:30 p. m. Special organ music will be furnished fur-nished by Mrs. Mary Boyer and violin music by Mr. Hatch. The program is being sponsored by the Seventies and all are invited in-vited to attend. First Ward . . . Sunday Evening Services . . . A. G. Peterson, former bishop of the First ward, now of the stake presidency, will talk at the First ward Sunday evening meeting meet-ing beginning at 7 p. m., announces an-nounces Bishop Howard Maycock. A fine musical program is also being arranged for the evening, and an invitation is extended to all members of the ward to at tend. |
