Show ly highly honored at the "U," being selected for membership in Theta Alpha Phi, national honorary honor-ary dramatic fraternity. A junior in the school of education, edu-cation, Miss Clyde is majoring in speech and minoring in music and English. She was active in dramatics drama-tics and journalism throughout her high school career, and has followed the same lines of activity in college. Local Students At the Universities PROVO, UTAH (Special to the Springville Herald) Phyllis Smart of Springville appeared in a polyglot (many languages) program pro-gram at Brigham Young university univer-sity here Wednesday. The entertainment consisted of plays and skits and dialogues in seven different languages. This performance as a revival of a language lan-guage department tradition that has existed for the past twenty years and which is given to acquaint ac-quaint university students with the extent of language work at B. Y. U. Miss Smart appeared in a German Ger-man play. Performances were given giv-en also in French, Spanish, Italian, Ital-ian, Hebrew, Greek, and Latin. o Venice Whiting of Springville is among fifteen women at Brig-ham Brig-ham Young university here who were recently pledged as members of White Key service sorority.
