OlTtREN'T STTDY CLUB ENTERTAINED AT DINNER Current Study club members were entertained Monday evening at the home of Miss Lillian Russell. Rus-sell. After a delicious dinner was served by the hostess, the play, "Criminal Code," was read by Clifton dinger of Provo. Members present were Bertha Bearnson, Fay Bearnson, Rhea Straw, Mattie Davis, Minerva Johnson, Melba Sumsion, Faughn Nielson. Grace Parker, Nell Matt-ley, Matt-ley, Elda Hansen, Lillian Russell, Prudence Wride. Special guests were Helen Palfrevman and Myrtle Myr-tle Childs. ALICE LOUISE REYNOLDS CLUB HAS MEETING Members of the Alice Louise Reynolds Literary club were entertained en-tertained Friday at the home of Mary Reed. The program for the evening included three readings by Mrs. William Schreiner, two solos, "Annie "An-nie Laurie," and "The Nightingale Awoke Me," by Hannah Rowland. Members present were Mrs. Millie Mil-lie Martain, Mrs. Lucille Martaln, Ida Hansen, Emily Jensen, Amy Donaldson, Esther Harmer, Elizabeth Eliza-beth Harmer, Evelyn Reed, of Springville; Ida Johnson, Spanish Fork; Mrs. Harold E. Rasmussen, Mrs. Amy Mecham, Gwen Vincent, and Emily Liddiard of Provo. Special Spe-cial guests were Mrs. Len Taylor, Mrs. Dally Thorn, and Mrs. Black-ett. Black-ett. LA JOLIE CLUB ENTERTAINED Mrs. Madge Crandall was hostess hos-tess to members of La Jolie club at her home Thursday evening. A delightful evening was spent sewing and socially conversing, after which a delicious hot luncheon lunch-eon was served to the following members: Mrs. Ina Pitcher, Mrs. Laura Wilding, Mrs. Harriet Miner, Min-er, Mrs. Fay Hansen, Mrs. Ruth Miller, Mrs. Billie Burt, Mrs. Helen Spafford, and the hostess. Dinner was served from one long table centered with pink chyrsanthemums with pink tapers in crystal candelabra at either end, and covers were laid for Marie Ma-rie Clegg, Marie Morgan, Ann Johnson, Olive Miller, Flora Mat-ben, Mat-ben, Delia Dallin, Rose Roylance, Fay Cranmer, and the hostess. Bridge was played later in the evening, with prizes being won by Rose Roylance, first; Flora Mal-ben, Mal-ben, second; and Marie Morgan, consolation. HOME CULTURE CLUB ENTERTAINED FRIDAY Mrs. L. E. Ottesen was hostess to members of the Home Culture club at her home Friday afternoon. after-noon. A review of the book, "The Family," by Nina Fedorova, was given by Mrs. Maurice Anderson. A piano solo was given by Keith Ottesen. Following the serving of a delicious deli-cious luncheon by the hostess, movies were shown by Dr. L. E. Ottesen. Sixteen club members were present and Mrs. C. 0. Claudin was a special guest. BROWN-NIELSEN ENGAGEMENT ANNOUNCED Mr. and Mrs. Mark A. Brown wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Ramona, to Ar-velle Ar-velle C. Nielsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nielsen of Springville. The marriage is planned ot take place Tuesday, November 19. ROYERS HONORED AT HOVSE WARMING THURSDAY In the form Of a housewarming honoring Mr. and Mrs. Harlan Boyer, who have just recently moved into their new home, a party par-ty was given by a number of friends Thursday night. A variety of games furnished delightful entertainment, and were followed by a delicious pot luck lunch. The group also presented Mr. and Mrs. Boyer with a lovely gift for their new home. Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Willis Weight, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Loveridge, Mrs. Etta Thorpe, Mrs. Zelma Beardall, Mrs. Maude Peterson, Pe-terson, Mr. and Mrs. Lee Davis, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Cherrington, Mrs. Erva Childs, Mr. and Mrs. Alex Long. Mr. and Mrs. R. B. Weight, Mrs. Mae Childs, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Carter, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Weight, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sanford. FIDELITY CLUB ENJOYS PARTY AT HEDQUIST HOME A no-hostess party was enjoyed enjoy-ed by members of the Fidelity Bridge club Monday evening. After a delicious luncheon was served, bridge was played, with prizes going to Olive Miller, first; Floss Cates, second; Delia Dallin, consolation; and Lavaun Scott of Provo, guest prize. Special guests attending were Berniece Cranmer, Florence Boyer, Boy-er, Ann Johnson, and Lavaun Scott, and members present were Marie Morgan, Ann Johnson, Floss Cates, Olive Miller, Flora Maiben, Delia Dallin, Marie Clegg, Fay Cranmer, and Rose Roylance. CURRENT STUDY CLUB ENTERTAINED A delightful Hallowe'en party was enjoyed by the Current Study Club Thursday evening at Payson with the Misses Grace Parker, Faughn Nielson and Elda Hansen acting as hostesses. Points of interest in the city were introduced to the group via the scavenger hunt method. The game "Hallowe'en" was also played play-ed with prizes for all.
