Show THANKSGIVING DATE CHANGED TO NOVEMBER 21st President Roosevelt has again proclaimed a Thanksgiving holiday holi-day one week in advance of the traditional observance of the day. He has fixed Thursday, November 21, for this year's observance. Until 19 39, Thanksgiving day was observed on the last Thursday Thurs-day In November. When Mr. Roosevelt Roo-sevelt moved the day ahead one week last year, it caused a nationwide nation-wide controversy in which many states had two holidays. This year 32 states will comply with the president's proclamation; 16 will observe the last Thursday of the month. Utah will observe the November Novem-ber 21st date for Thanksgiving in compliance with the president's proclamation. |
