Show KOLOB QUEEN NAMED AT ALU. DANCE Elaborate Floor Show And Dance Demonstration Featured At Gold-Green Ball Phyllis Boyer, of the Second ward, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Boyer, was crowned queen of Kolob stake during the annual Gold and Green ball at Memorial hall Monday night. The queen's crown was presented her by President Pres-ident J. Emmett Bird of Kolob stake, as part of the elaborate floor show featured during the evening. Miss Boyer won the honor from the five queen candidates representing repre-senting the Springville and Maple-ton Maple-ton wards. The entertainment was attended by more than 400 M. I. A. workers and other guests and with each ticket purchased a vote for queen was given. Highlighting the ball was the parade of queens, kings, and attendants at-tendants and the demonstration of several dances including the official offi-cial M. I. A. dance of the year by a group of M Men and Gleaners chosen from the wards of the stake. The ball constituted one of the most successful events of its kind here this season. |
