Show achieved by labor throughout the war. Strikes Not Justified, Say Leaders "No matter what the provocation, provoca-tion, Lhere can be no justification for the strike," declares William A. Green, president of American 1 Federation of Labor. I Mr. Green took occasion to denounce de-nounce the strike wave that was I apparent throughout the country some time ago', calling it" "totally unjustified" and declaring that "none of them has had the approval ap-proval of the A. F. of L." It is encouraging to note that responsible labor leaders throughout through-out the nation, are openly denouncing denoun-cing strikes during the present mergency. This attitude on tie part of the leaders also permeates perme-ates the membership of most organized or-ganized unions, despite" the fact that occasionally unauthorized strikes occur. We agree with Mr. Green that the strikes that have been so generously gen-erously publicized by the radio and press are relatively unimportant when viewed against the total picture pic-ture of production that has been |
