Show CAP Receives Charter. Boys AlHill Field The Civil Air Patrol of Spring-ville-Spanish Fork Squadron has become activated or given their charter to become a squadron of the Utah wing, it was anounced this week. Lt. Mead Weight is commanding officer. Regular meetings of the patrol are being held on Monday at 8 p.m., at Memorial hall and members mem-bers are exhibiting considerable interest and enthusiasm in the work. A number of the Springville i boys left the past week on a few days encampment at Hill Field and will return June 14. They are Cadet Capt. Wayne Ostlund, Cadet , 2nd Lt. Douglas Poulsen, Robert ' Curtis, Wayne Beesley, Richard Carter of Goshen, Jay Deeben, Cpl. Grant Kapp, Robert Hutch- j ings, Delbert Smith, James Wilcox, Wil-cox, Robert McKenna and Gerald Alvey. The squadron is an auxiliary of the U'. S. airforce and includes boys from 15 to 18 years. Duties include rescue work and special uniforms are worn. Anyone wishing wish-ing to join the group should contact con-tact Mead Weight, Mack Collings, Warrant officers. |
