Show C. Of C. Board Of Directors Hears Reports The regular meeting of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors was held Tuesday night and was filled with reports and problems of various committees. Appointed to fill the vacancy caused by the recent death of O. P. Senior, was Dr. T. J. Marshall, whose term will expire in 1952. A report from the Health chairman chair-man in regard to Utah Lake pollution pollu-tion and ways and means to finance fin-ance and obtain a disposal plant were discussed. J. A. Miller, secretary, gave an enlightening report of the War College course which he completed for the Chamber during the past two weeks in Salt Lake City. Jist of the report centered around the need of communities throughout the U. S. in preparing civilians as well as armed forces for any national emergency that may be caused from another world conflagration confla-gration Other detailed business was also disposed of under the direction of President W. J. Phillips Phil-lips during the meeting. |
