Show Talk on Art Given j At Club Meeting Mrs. Mae Huntington reviewed the story of the art movement from its very beginning to the present time, in a talk before members of the Ladies Literary Club Thursday evening of last week. Mrs. E. T. Crandall was hostess. Mrs.. Huntington explained the part played by L. E. Eggei'tsen, Wayne Johnson, N. K. Nielson and others in collecting paintings for exhibition in Springville and thus encouraging a movement which has developed into its present por-portions por-portions over a period of more than fifty years. . The meeting was in charge of Mrs. Blanch Beal, club vice-president, who asked Mrs. Paul Thorn to give a report of the Legislative Council meeting. She also read a letter inviting club members to the art tea Saturday, March 17. Refreshments were served by the hostess at the close of the meeting. Mrs. Zelma Beardall, Mrs. Mary Schwartz and Mrs. Peggy Childress were guests. |
