Hunter and daughter, Bene, spent the past week in Yellowstone National Park, and also visited relatives and friends in Shelly and Idaho Falls, Idaho. Mr. and Sirs. Clifford Crandall visited recently with their son, Gordon, who is stationed at Camp Pendelton, Calif. They also spent a short time with Boyd Hunter, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Hunter, who is employed in California this summer. Mr. and Mrs. Roland A. Oldroyd and children, Kendall, Karen and Julie- spent a most enjoyable two weeks vacation recently. They stopped for a while at Fish Lake and then went on to Las Vegas, Nev., and from there to Long Beach, Calif. They traveled up the coast to San Francisco, where they stopped for a time and returned home by way of Lake Tahoe. Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Gogarty have been visiting in California with their son, Barney, who is employed theire this summer. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Strong spent a few days of the past week on a business trip to Denver, Colo. Dr. and Mrs. Reed Holdaway were among Utahns who attended the Dental convention recently in Seattle, Wash. t Mrs. John Swenson (Elaine Beardall) and sons have been visiting vi-siting , her mother, Mrs. Zelma Beardall and other relatives and friends here. Sir. and Mrs. C. A. Smith returned re-turned recently from an enjoyable vacation trip to Bryces, Zion and Grand canyons, being gone five days. Mrs. Ethel Scovil spent the fore-part fore-part of this month vacationing in and near Moab. She stayed-at the Moab Hotel and from there she hiked and motored to desert lands and mountains. Husband, Ray, joined her for a day or so, and thiy enjoyed tours of the surrounding sur-rounding country. For scenic beauty and interest the area about Moab is in a class by itself, Mrs. Scovil reported. During her stay she also went on several uranium prospecting tours. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Child and Mrs. Child's sister, Helen, returned recently from a week's vacation trip to Yellowstone Park. Mrs. Louisa Wainwright is spending a few weeks with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wilford Lyall in Pittsfield, Mass. Mrs. Wainwright has been making her home recently in Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence L. Jensen and daughter, Geraldine, and son, J.um, a-ie leaving mis weei iui a few days vacation trip to Idaho and the Northwest. They expect to be back by next Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Weight and two daughters of Yuba City, Calif, are spending their vacation in Utah and Idaho, coming from Yuba City, Calif, where "Mr. Weight is employed. They have been visiting relatives in Salt Lake City and Springville this week. Verl is a son of Fred Weight of this city. |
