Show Student's Ability Recognized in Calif. Air Factory Lewis Childs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis B. Childs and a 1952 high school graduate, has found the work he likes and is qualified I to do it, it would seem from a report re-port this week. Working in the Northrup Air Factory in Hawthorne, Calif., he was helping a spot welder, but like other beginners, was required to take a science class. After passing pass-ing 100 percent in his chemistry test, one of the plant's top engineers engin-eers asked him to remain for an' interview and as result Lewis is being transferred to the chemistry laboratory of the factory. The en-j en-j gineer also told him that he should go out in chemistry or science and could become very valuable in this field of work. Lewis has always taken a special spec-ial interest in science and chem istry study and was a student of Omar Hansen during his senior high years. |
