Parking facilities for employees and visitors is provided in a lighted light-ed parking area to the west of the building. General contractor on the new building was Mark Garff, Ryberg and Garff, Salt Lake City. Architects Archi-tects were Warren, Knight and Davis of Birmingham, Alabama, with Vlaude Shephard Ashworth, Provo, acting as supervising architect. arch-itect. Interior decoration, furniture and furnishings were handled jointly by Carroll Sagar and Associates Asso-ciates and Paul Robinson Hunter, both of Los Angeles, California. Laval S. Morris of Logan was the landscape architect. With the completion of this new general office building the Pacific States Cast Iron Pipe Company has been continuously adding to their facilities begun in 1926. In 1949 a $3,500,000 Super deLavaud cast iron pressure pipe plant was put in operation. Because of its ideal location in Provo, this company com-pany is able to serve the eleven western states, the adpacent Canadian Can-adian areas, as well as the Hawi-ian Hawi-ian Islands and Alaska. The company com-pany supplies to the waterworks and gas utilities of this area a complete line of cast iron pipe and fittings up to 24 inches in diameter. diam-eter.
