Show Former Resident Dies in SIX., Interment Here Funeral services were held in Midvalo Saturday for Mrs. Irena Boyer Mendenhall Jenson, 81, a former resident of Springville, who died on Thursday of last week at a Salt Lake City hospital of a long illness. Burial was in the Evergreen Ever-green cemetery in this city. Mrs. Jenson was the widow of Joseph Jenson, former state engineer. en-gineer. Her husband died November Novem-ber 1, 1927. Mrs. Jenson was a daughter of Richard Lovell and Maria C. Boyer Mendenhall. She was born in this city December 13, 1871, and attended at-tended schools in this city, also the Brigham Young academy from which she graduated in 1891. She was married to Mr. Jenson in December 1896, in the Salt Lake temple. She had been active in LDS church organizations in the - Belvedere ward and had served as Relief Society president. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Cannon A. (Mae) Thomson of Midvale, with whom she had made her home for the past 15 years; Mrs. Whitney L. (Elna) Hanson of New York, N.Y., one son, Elwood Jenson, San Diego, Calif., and three grandchildren. |
