Show Mrs. Ronald Thorpe left Sunday evening for Roswell, N.M., to visit her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Robert Thorpe, who has been ill and may have to undergo an operation. - Mr. and 3Irs. W. W. Brockbank returned recently from a trip to Denver, Colo., where they visted a daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. D. Prusse Elaine) and family. a tour of theNscenic areas. Among the 12,000 men who participated par-ticipated in the largest and most extensive training exercise since World War II was Joseph C. Hall fire control technician second class TJSN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Theron S. Hall of 815 East Fourth North St., Springville, aboard the destroyer des-troyer XJSS Richard B. Anderson. Freda Vernon of Fredova's dance studio has just recently returned re-turned from Dance Masters of California convention in San Francisco, Fran-cisco, Calif., where she studied with some of the nation's outstanding outstand-ing dance instructors and she also participated in an intensive dance session in Hollywood. Mr. and Mrs. Chester Wright have had as their guests recently Mr. and Mrs. George L. Shepherd and children of Tempe, Ariz. Back home from a vacation trip to Canada are Mr. and Mrs. 'Walter 'Wal-ter Anderson. They attended con ference at Cardston and went to the Alberta Temple. They also visited relatives at MacGrath and Lethbridge, enjoyed Glacier park and Hungry Horse dam and spent several days at Flathead Lake in Montana. Mrs. Minnie Oakley is in Provo convalescing from a recent illness at the home of a daughter Mrs. Jess Willard. Mr. and Mrs. O. M. Allred had as their guest recently Mrs. Sarah E. Allred of Ogden. Mrs. Allred has gone to visit other relatives in the Uintah Basin. Mary Jane Bird had as her guest several days last week, Linda Dixon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Verl Dixon of Prove Mrs. Vi Child and daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Miner, were in Provo Tuesday noon to have luncheon with Miss Florence Jepperson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Jepperson, who stopped off for two hours on a flying trip from New York to Los Angeles where she operates a dress shop. Geniel Ashcraft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ashcraft returned recently from a visit in Long Beach, California, with an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Ashcraft. Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn Berhmann of Mapleton recently made a trip to Colorado to visit a brother, Oris Behrmann and family. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Whiting and family and Mr. and Mrs. Orean Ashcraft and daughter returned recently from a vacation trip to Yellowstone. Mrs. Norma Jenkins and two children, also her brother Orville and sister Karen Roylance spent four days during the past weekend in Yellowstone park. They met Mr. Jenkins who is employed near the park and he accompanied them on |
