Show Family Outing Sponsored by Riding Clubmen The Springville Riding Club members anil their wives and children chil-dren went to Balsam park last Sunday for their annual outing. Approximately twenty club members mem-bers attended. The group enjoyed a chicken dinner, din-ner, a program, games and races. In the latter for the children, the prizes were awarded the winners and the young folks had an especially espec-ially good time. During the program, Sally Peay entertained with dance and batoon numbers; Brent Rigtrup, accord-ian accord-ian numbers; Joan Marsh, readings Dee Nelson and Ted Rowland of I'rovo, instrumental selections and Harry Lotten, guitar and vocal numbers. Arrangements for the party, which proved successful in every det ail, were in charge of President Ralph Peay. Over-Night Hide The Riding club members, making mak-ing up a party of ten men, recently participated in their annual overnight over-night ride which took them nearly to Strawberry Rdge in Shingle Mill canyon. Here they enjoyed supper cooked over the bon-fire and breakfast the following morning. morn-ing. ' The clubmen have another overnight over-night ride coming up on Septern ber 12, when they expect to ride to the East Portal by way of Hobble Creek and camp out overnight, over-night, returning Sunday. All club members are expected to participate. |
