Noted Speakers To Address Kiwanis Meet Springville will be represented at the convention of the Utah-Idaho Utah-Idaho district of Kiwanis at Sun Valley, Ida., September 12 to 14, by J. Y. Bearnson, Lt.-Gov. of the district together with several other members and their wives, it was announced this week. Among the noted speakers" to address the convention sessions, is Jimmie Fiddler, outstanding male commentator and columnist from Hollywood, Calif., who has championed cham-pioned the cause of the underpriv- iledged children during his 20-year career. He founded the Kid's Day Foundation Foun-dation in 1949 to establish a day on which funds would be raised at the local level by means of a national drive for the benefit of less priviledged children. The day was also designed to entertain these children and to give them a feeling of belonging to the community. com-munity. Since the Foundation selected Kiwanis International as their partner in the program, on four Kid's Days $1,500,000 have been raised at the local level and entertainment en-tertainment provided for some 3,000,000 underpriviledged children. chil-dren.
