Show Handy Calendar To Make for '50 '"THIS calendar will serve you faithfully through all the 365 days of 1950. It will tell at a glance the day of the week corresponding cor-responding to any particular date. To make it, copy the chart with ink on a piece of stiff cardboard, or cut out the diagram and paste it on cardboard backing. Reading of the chart is an easy matter. Suppose you want to find out what day of the week April 12 will be. Under MONTH fine' April, and then read the key figure on the month chart. You will see it is 2. Next, under DATE, find 12, and again read the key figure on the date chart This is 11. Now add these two key figures, 2 and 11, together and you get 13. Locate this figure in the KEY chart and you find the day is Wednesday. Wed-nesday. Now find the day you'll celebrate your birthday. Now try April Fool's Day, Hallowe'en,1 Hal-lowe'en,1 Christmas and so on. You need not bother using the chart for Easter Sunday which falls on April 2 this year. So now here's a Happy New Year to you with dates full of interesting in-teresting days. s |
