Show SpringviHe-MapIeton Chest X-Rays Completed; 2191 Pictures Taken While less than one-half of the people over 15 years of age availed themselves of the opportunity to have chest X-rays taken while the mobile unit was in Springville, the project was? termed successful. A total of 2191 Springville and Mapleton citizens had the check made and if only one case of tuberculosis tu-berculosis is detected, one life may be saved and the program will be well-worthwhile. Approximately Approximate-ly 4600 were estimated elegible for the X-rays. A report on the pictures will be mailed to each individual within a few weeks and if there should be anyone who is refered to his : or her physician with spots on the j lungs, enlarged pictures will be taken free of charge at the Utah Valley hospital by making appointment ap-pointment through a physician. J. A. Miller, secretary of the local Chamber of Commerce, who sponsored the program here, said this week that Springville city's share of the program cost would be $43.83 and Mapleton would pay $10.05. The county will pay the remainder one-half of the total cost. |
