The winner of two out of three games will receive a beautiful trophy as city champ. National Guard won the right to meet the first half winners after ending second half play in a three way tie with Mapleton and the Ruff Garage. In the first playoff game the National Guard trounced Ruff Garage 20-6 in a last two inning rout. Ruff led 5-4 up to the fifth inning when the Guard club opened up their scoring bar-age. bar-age. Tuesday night the Guard club eked out a hard earned victory over the Mapleton club, 13-12 to win the second half title. ! The second game of the city playoff will be staged Monday night at 8 p.m. Should the winner of tonight's gam win Monday, they will be the champs. |
