Show Missionary Writes Enroute Home From South Africa To All at the Herald: I am writing tonight from the small city of Grahamtown, Cape Province, as. my companion and I pause on our way to the coast and thence to our mountain homes so dear. Although I have neglected neg-lected to do so before, I do wish to express heartfelt appreciation for the Herald which has followed me 'faithfully through the Union of South Africa and Southern Rhodesia. I don't think I missed an issue and although they were four to six weeks late, they were still eagerly read both by myself and my companions no matter where they were from. Of late we have been particularly interested in your fine pictures and discrip-tions discrip-tions of Springville floods. i While serving down here in the South African Mission I have labored la-bored in Capetown, Durban, Johannesburg Jo-hannesburg in the Union and Bui-away Bui-away in Southern Rhodesia. In addition to my regular and much enjoyed work in these cities, I have also been able to visit a few of the fine scenic attractions of the great land for which I am most grateful. This letter, of course, will inform in-form you that you should discontinue discon-tinue sending my paper, although the Elders here would appreciate them no matter how long they kept coming. In closing, I will say thanks again for the Herald which has ' helped make my happiest two i years even happier. j Sincerely, 1 Elder Jack L. Parker. |
