D. S. conference was held Sunday evening at the church. Speakers were Vernal C Webb, Rueben Wyberg and Parkey A. Young of South Jor-dan. George Terry was injured in a mine accident Tuesday even-ing at the Lark mine. Harold Nielsen suffered a foot injury Saturday morning. Both men are recovering nicely. Miss Mary Brown, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Brown who is attending school at the Brigham Young university in Provo, spent last week-en- d with her parents. Jena Vee Larsen has recently received employment at the Bing-ham Mercantile Co. in Bingham. College students expected home this week include Charles Hudson, Kenneth Davis, Kenneth Poulsen, Norma Nix and How-ard Buchman and Mary Hess of Henagers Business college in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Bud Nichol and son, Ri-chard, and daughter, Norma, went Friday to Salt Lake City where they met Mrs. Nichol's sister, Lenna Byhower. The party motored from there to Richfield to spend the week-en- Mr. and Mrs. Bert Ivie of Cop-perficl- d, and children, were din-ner guests at the home of Mrs. Ivie's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L E. Barnett Sunday. Guests also in-cluded the Messrs Don and Phil Rosequist, who spent the week-end visiting at the Barnett home. Mrs. Ida Mugfur spent Satur-day and Sunday with Mrs. George McDonald .of Midvale, formerly of Copperton. Suffering a compound fracture of the arm is Miss Jean Gadd, who received injuries as a result of a bad fall Friday. Visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Bill Peterson for three days last week were Mr. and Mrs- Thomas An-derson and children of Copper-fiel- d. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Lamp of Sacramento, Cah, visited several days last week with Mr. and Mrs. C. H. Winn. Mrs. Wayne Hansen, leader of the M I A. Beehive girls, chape-roned a hike and picnic for eight members of her class Saturday-Participatin-in the outing were Patricia Bennion, Shirley Tassai-ne- r, Joyce Hansen, Ruth and Rae Barnett, Maureen Buckle, and Irene Curry. Miss Frederika Jewel Fike, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Fike, is suffering from contusi-ons, abrasions and lacerations of the arm and face resulting from bites received from a dog Sunday. Miss Aloha Eastman of Lark is employed by Mrs. L. S. Brec-ko- n and is now residing at the Breckon home in Copperton. Mrs Louis Buchman left Tues-day morning for Butte, Montana where she will attend a wedding and visit. Mrs E. V. Knudsen, and son, Jack visited Monday in Holla-da- y with Mrs. Ann Rasmussen. The Copperton Relief society hold a quilting bee at the Cox home in Copperton Tuesday. At- - Mrs. Harry Turner and son, Dennis Roy, went to Fillmore Thursday to stay with her sister, Mrs. Don Stuart, for a week or so. Mr. Stuart brought his mother-in-- law, Mrs. Aimer Berg, home and Mrs. Turner returned to Fill-more with him. |
